Music Lessons

About Music Lessons At The Rye Arts Center

The Rye Arts Center is one of the most extensive music schools in the Sound Shore area. On any given week during the school year, you will find over 200 students studying instruments, voice, and composition. Our instructors (professional musicians, singers, and composers) are dedicated to nurturing your talents and helping you reach your fullest potential.

Our Music School also offers opportunities to enhance your musical experience through:

  • Recitals: Students have the opportunity to perform at three seasonal recitals: Halloween, Winter (held in December) and Spring (held in June).
  • Community Performances: Students have the option to perform at Rye Arts Center events including gallery openings, special events, and at local community gatherings, providing an opportunity to earn community service hours as well as the experience of performing live in front of audiences that can number from 20 to 200.
  • Practice Marathons: Twice each year The Rye Arts Center holds practice marathons to instill good practice habits and provide students with special incentives. Click here for a current list of Marathon Winners!
  • Student Composition Festival: Students participate in this annual event, receiving special recognition and awards.
