BYOB and join us for an evening of self expression through paint! No paint-bynumbers, no pressure to be perfect – workshop will start with a simple still-life and progress from there. Participants will be encouraged to work at their own pace, and in their own style. No experience necessary; if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, make this the first time! All supplies included. Workshop: Puppet Master Animation

Saturday, June 10, 12:30 – 2:30 pm

Ages 7 – 10

Kids will invent and paint superhero animal characters on paper, and animate them with the PuppetMaster App on the ipad. Kids take home their drawing and receive a video of their animation. PuppetMaster App designer Michal Finegold will be instructing this course personally!

Writer’s Circle Workshop

Tuesday, July 11 – Thursday, July 13, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Ages 18 & up
In this workshop, we’ll write to prompts, discuss obstacles that interfere with your manuscript’s progress, and take time for personal feedback on your work-in-progress. All genres welcome.
Feedback will help with character development, settings, plots, and writer’s block. If you’ve begun a story or poem, and you’ve lost your focus or can’t find the discipline to get back to your creative process, don’t wait until fall to satisfy your inner writer. This class is for you.

Make Your Own T-Shirt! – Cyanotype Workshop

Tuesday, July 18 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Ages 6 – 12

Using found objects and plants, students can expose them under the sunlight to create beautiful blue prints. This can be done on T-shirts and students can turn them into one of a kind wearable art! All supplies included.

Introduction to Fair Isle Knitting Workshop

July 26, Wednesday 12:30 – 3:30 pm

Ages 18 & up

Discover the wonderful technique of color stranding. It?s easier than it looks. Learn to read charts and practice knitting in the round with two colors. We will discuss color selection, yarn tension and how to catch long floats. Before long, you will be starting on one of these hats. This workshop is for knitters who are comfortable knitting and purling and are ready to tackle something new. Materials: 2 colors of DK weight wool, 150 yards of each colorsize 6 needles, 16 inch circular stitch markers.
