The Rye Arts Center is one of the most extensive music programs in the Sound Shore area. On any given week during the school year, you will find over 200 students studying instruments, voice, and composition. Our instructors (professional musicians, singers, and composers) are dedicated to nurturing your talents and helping you reach your fullest potential.

Instrumental Lessons

• A choice of any instrument offered

• Develop cognitive and motor capabilities with trusted technique and practice

Voice

• Develop self-expression through vocal training

• Learn proper diction, tone, and technique, pitch + more

Songwriting & Composing

• Understand the basics of songwriting and composition

• Analyze lyrics, melody, and form of popular songs

• Gain tools to create your own songs

Parent + Child Lessons

• Weekly lessons for adult and young child (Age 4+) Introductory lesson required for new students

  • Piano /Guitar Pals: Learn to play together through musical games, instruction, and ear training

  • Suzuki Violin/Suzuki Guitar: Emphasizes traditional Suzuki rote method: ear training and proper technique before note reading
