We work with dozens of schools, community centers, libraries, boy scout and girl scout troops, retirement homes, and more to share the benefits of the arts with a broad and diverse audience throughout Westchester and beyond. If you’d like to treat your community to enjoyable and educational arts experiences, we are always looking for new partners.
Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach, we tailor our programs to the needs of your audience.
Programs can be one-day activities, multi-session activities, or ongoing programs.
We work with all ages.
Activities are led by professional teaching artists from a range of fields in the arts.
Visual Arts
Painting, drawing, and sculpture can provide a creative outlet and meaningful experience for all. Past partnerships have included mural projects, adult paint-nights, polymer clay sculptures and much more. In addition to classes we also work with partners to present exhibitions or to use their walls to share the works of talented regional artists
S.T.E.A.M. Education
The Rye Arts Center has long been a leader in STEM-learning through the lens of creativity. Projects range from low-tech activities such as creative-building with recycled objects to high-tech computer coding, 3D printing, robotics and more.
Performing Arts
Music, theater, and dance provide wonderful opportunities for expression and team-building. We’ve introduced thousands of children to new cultures through our World Music Program in schools throughout the region, we facilitate a singing group in a retirement community, and have helped adults loosen up through theater improvisation activities. In addition we’ve worked with restaurants to set-up live music.
Currently, all classes are being conducted virtually.
Pricing Varies
We work to keep our pricing affordable. The RAC is a not-for-profit and sharing our programs with a wide audience is central to our mission. Donations and grants help to subsidize programs to minimize the hurdle of cost.
